Weekly Highlight: A Spook-Tastic Week in store for Sacramento Food Trucks

Halloween is coming and we are in for a spook-tastic week! With the usual lunch time suspects comes the weekend of ghouls and goblins because Halloween is on a Wednesday this year!

Start your excitement off right with Diamond Plate Wednesday! This week we are taking a trip across the nation and to the sea with Cousin’s Maine Lobster at the office. With lobster or shrimp on just about everything, this truck is just as wonderful and you expect it to be. They were even featured on Shark Tank and Good Morning America, so this is one you don’t want to miss!

Friday night, Tahoe Park is hosting their 1st Annual Spook-Tacular! This family friendly event is from 5 to 8pm and is a local celebration that requires tickets. With food trucks, costume contests, games, crafts, a beer garden, and a haunted house, the event promises “scary Halloween entertainment for all ages (including pets)”.

The Saturday before Halloween is always a gold mine of things to do! This week we decided to pick two of our favorite events!

First, we have Food Truck Cinema in Roseville featuring The Nightmare Before Christmas! The event features live music from Fast Times from 5 to 8pm ,and the movie will begin about 30 minutes after sundown. Tickets start at $6 for children and $10 for adults. The night comes complete with some local food trucks and the Legends' Beer Garden & Wine Bar. Some of the trucks you can look for are Cousin’s Maine Lobster, Tailgater44, Flavor Face and more!

The second event is for those who have a sitter or are 21+. The California Automobile Museum is hosting Shannon McCabe’s 10th Annual Vampire Ball! This year they are celebrating Nosferatu, the original vampire with a gothic fantasy. The museum will be decorated with a castle, live theatrical sets, and of course, amazing cars! There will also be a silent auction, live music and an outdoor courtyard with fire dancers, full bars and food trucks! Tickets start at $30 and the event benefits the Spirit of Children Charity for the UC Davis Children’s and Shriner’s Hospitals. This event has it all and benefits a great cause!

Dig out your costumes, carve your pumpkins and have an amazing week! Just make sure you can still get your grub on while you’re out and about in costume; nobody wants to be hungry for Halloween.
